Every bottle of Merywen captures the spirit of North Wales. The sights, sounds and taste of our region are embodied in every bottle.  Wales has a rich heritage of storytelling and music, and every one of our tunes has been written by or for a Welsh musician. The different styles of tune reflect the different voices, tones and inspirations that Wales embraces.

The first gin distillery in North Wales for 100 years, our gin has been made in the county of Conwy ever since. Using hedgerow botanicals that grow in our region, the vast majority of our ingredients are still sourced in this way. That’s why you won’t find any citrus in our gin… Made in batches of 25 bottles at a time by just one person, we’re able to maintain the high standard we originally set out with, to make sure we can offer people the very best of North Wales.

A true London Dry Gin, Merywen is a juniper led gin with local notes of heather and gorse, evoking a Welsh hillside in the sun. Not too dry, there’s a hint of sweetness in the flavour that’s smooth to taste. Made with Welsh water, our classic gin is truly the sort of Welsh sunshine you can bottle and take home.
